Generally, 5% glucose injection is used to make a 1-4 mg/ml solution for infusion or is given by infusion pump. After a loading dose, the drug can be maintained at a rate of 1 to 4 mg per minute by IV infusion or at a rate of 0.015 to 0.03 mg/kg body weight per minute by IV infusion.
The dosage should be reduced in the elderly, heart failure, cardiogenic shock, decreased hepatic blood flow, hepatic or renal dysfunction. Intravenous infusion at 0.5-1 mg per minute. It can also be administered intravenously as a 0.1% solution, not exceeding 100 mg per hour.
Clinical attention should be paid to the use of such drugs with caution in patients with severe renal insufficiency, cardiac insufficiency, shock, and some patients may experience side effects such as hearing loss, numbness, dullness of sensation, dizziness, coma and so on after the use of this drug.
