The causes of sinus arrhythmia in young people include physiologic or pathologic factors, such as sleep deprivation and heart disease.
1. Physiological factors: sinus arrhythmia refers to the rhythmic changes of the atria and ventricles caused by the sinus node irregularly emitting agitation, which generally has no obvious clinical significance. Physiological factors that cause sinus arrhythmia include excessive psychological stress, nervousness, staying up too late, sleep deprivation, drinking coffee, etc. Sinus arrhythmia can be caused by taking drugs such as digitalis, morphine and so on.
2. Pathological factors: Pathological factors that cause sinus arrhythmia include certain heart diseases such as coronary heart disease, myocarditis, or systemic diseases such as hyperthyroidism.
