Is frequent belching and farting a precursor to stomach cancer?

Frequent belching and farting are not necessarily precursors of stomach cancer, but may also be gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases. In the early stage of stomach cancer, there are usually no obvious symptoms. As the disease progresses, patients may develop similar symptoms such as gastritis or gastric ulcer, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, indigestion, black stool, vomiting or frequent belching and farting. Patients with gastritis and gastric ulcer may also experience frequent belching and farting, and it is more common than gastric cancer. If patients are more worried, they can go to the hospital gastroenterology department for gastroscopy. If gastric cancer is ruled out, some medications for gastritis or gastric ulcer can be taken under the guidance of a doctor. Even if stomach cancer is unfortunately diagnosed, early detection and early treatment will result in a high cure rate, so patients need not worry too much. Patients with frequent belching and farting should try to keep themselves in a relaxed mood and eat more food containing protein and fiber to ensure the supply of nutrients to the body. At the same time, patients should avoid eating spicy, stimulating, greasy and cold foods, and should chew slowly and eat more meals to reduce the burden on the stomach and intestines.
