What’s wrong with the pain at the junction of the throat and the nose?

Pain at the junction of throat and nose, i.e. nasopharyngeal pain, may be caused by nasopharyngitis, nasopharyngeal cancer, cold and flu.
1. Nasopharyngitis: Inflammatory reaction of mucous membrane, submucous tissue and lymphatic tissue of nasopharynx caused by adenovirus and other pathogens’ infection, and the symptom of pharyngeal pain may appear.
2. Nasopharyngeal cancer: uncontrolled growth and proliferation of nasopharyngeal cells lead to increasing tumor size, which may cause pain in nasopharynx if it violates the nerves and its surrounding tissues.
