Can children with cerebral palsy be cured?

”Cerebral palsy” is an easy to understand term that can be easily understood. What is very worrying to the public, however, is that it usually occurs in infants and young children. Some babies are diagnosed with pediatric cerebral palsy at birth, while others are brought to the hospital by their families for tests around the age of 3 because they are behind in growth or have abnormal posture, only to learn that they have cerebral palsy. It is heartbreaking that these newborns are branded with the label “cerebral palsy” before they have even begun their beautiful lives. The treatment of cerebral palsy has always been an important topic of research in the medical field, and with the persistence of many experts in various periods of time, an unprecedented harvest was finally achieved. During the research process, experts found that the main symptoms of cerebral palsy are postural abnormalities and motor function, and it is these two symptoms that cause significant hindrance and impact on the child’s life. In view of this, as long as these problems are improved or solved in some way, then the child’s situation will be improved and the future life can be full of hope. The current treatment plan for cerebral palsy is: preoperative rehabilitation + surgery + postoperative rehabilitation. This is a systematic treatment system, and a period of rehabilitation training before surgery will lead to more ideal results. At present, the surgical procedures include peripheral nerve narrowing, selective posterior spinal nerve root excision, pulse sympathetic nerve net stripping, etc. According to the actual condition of each child, we will choose the targeted treatment surgery. After the surgery, the patient has a high chance of returning to normal life with standardized rehabilitation training.
