2. Kapok is the dried flower of Kapok, family Bombacaceae, which is sweet, light and cool in nature, and its effects include clearing away heat and removing dampness, detoxification, and can be used in the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, hemorrhoids, and hemorrhagic disorders.
3. The medicinal source of Yin Chen is the dried above-ground part of Artemisia annua or Artemisia capillaris, family Asteraceae, which is bitter and pungent in taste, slightly cold in nature, with the effects of clearing dampness-heat and inducing bile to relieve yellowing and can be used for treating jaundice with scanty urination, dampness-warmth (caused by dampness-heat sensation and warmth), dampness and itching of wet sores.
