What to do about baby’s heat rash

Baby heat rash (i.e. prickly heat) can be improved by general treatment and medication.
1. General treatment: Prickly heat is a common disease in summer or hot and humid environment, commonly known as sweat rash and heat rash. Under normal circumstances, prickly heat can gradually disappear on its own after cooling and drying the local skin. During this period, children should wear loose, breathable cotton clothing and use fans or air conditioners to cool down the indoor temperature.
2. Medication: Topical glycerine lotion and prickly heat powder can be used to promote the fading of lesions. When pus prickly heat appears, you can use topical hydrocortisone butyrate, Denadyl and other glucocorticoid drugs, which can play an anti-inflammatory effect. For children with significant itching, antihistamines such as loratadine syrup can be taken.
