What can be examined by abdominal CT

CT abdomen is very widely used in clinical practice. Currently, CT examination is used for abdominal cavity diseases, which mainly include substantial organs and cavernous organs. Substantial organs mainly include liver, biliary, pancreatic and spleen diseases, such as hemangioma of the liver, liver cyst, malignant tumors of the liver, such as hepatocellular carcinoma or benign hyperplastic nodules of the liver, choledocholithiasis, choledochal cyst or cystic tumors of the pancreas, and malignant tumors, pancreatic cysts, or pseudocysts of the pancreas, splenic hemangioma, splenic cysts, etc. For the diagnosis of cavernous organs mainly used for gastrointestinal perforation, which can be seen as perforated gastrointestinal ulcer or perforated appendicitis, free gas in the abdominal cavity can be seen, or mucosal disorder and interruption of continuity can be seen during the examination of gastric and intestinal cancer, thus making an indirect diagnosis. Gastric cancer and its intestinal cancer need further gastroscopy and colonoscopy to make a clear diagnosis, and patients can make a final diagnosis with ultrasound or routine blood test if their condition allows. Therefore, CT examination of the abdomen can examine many organs of the abdomen, and can detect inflammation of the abdomen, abdominal cysts, benign and malignant tumors of the abdomen, especially enhanced CT examination of the abdomen, which is of great value for the accurate diagnosis of abdominal organ lesions.
