When using iodophor and hydrogen peroxide for wound cleansing, it is recommended that the hydrogen peroxide rinse be used first, followed by saline and iodophor. When disinfecting wounds, it is usually necessary to follow the sequence of cleaning around the wound with soap and water, hydrogen peroxide rinse, saline rinse, iodophor rinse, and this process needs to be repeated 2~3 times to ensure that the contaminants in the wound are completely removed. It should be noted that hydrogen peroxide has a certain degree of corrosiveness, after hydrogen peroxide rinse, you need to use saline to thoroughly clean the wound, so as not to cause skin irritation, for more serious wounds, may also need to be sutured. Sterilization and debridement of wounds is a clinical operation and is not recommended to be performed on one’s own. When skin injury occurs, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner; especially deeper wounds usually need to be accompanied by wound exploration to clarify whether there is any vascular or neurological injury.
