When patients go to the hospital for tests, hospital test results can generally be classified as normal, abnormal, positive, negative, or weakly positive. For most tests, a positive result means that the result is abnormal and a problem is found, such as occult blood (+) in urine routine, which indicates the presence of blood cells in the urine, while a negative result means that the result is normal and no problem is found, such as urine occult blood (-), which indicates that no blood cells were found. However, there are times when a weakly positive result is encountered, such as a weakly positive urine routine, which indicates that blood cells may or may not be present in the urine specimen, but it is not clear for the time being and therefore needs to be reviewed for further clarification, sometimes several times, and the degree of weak positivity determines the degree of tendency to be abnormal.
