Fractures around the age of 48, healing is divided into 3 periods, in general, within 1 to 2 months, the bone scab can be formed, but it may vary from patient to patient and cannot be generalized.
1. Hematoma Mechanization Evolution Period: During this period, a large number of hematomas are formed at the location of the fracture.
2. Bone fiber formation period: After about 2 weeks of metabolism, bone fibers will be formed locally at the fracture site.
3. Bone scab growth period: after calcium ion deposition, as well as under the action of osteoblasts, the bone scab is able to grow. Usually at about 1.5 months, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a review and take a radiograph of the fracture site in order to see the growth of the bone scab on the film.
Depending on your age, the time it takes for the fracture to heal and grow will vary. In the case of middle-aged patients around 48 years of age, the fracture healing and growth time is relatively slow and is usually likely to be prolonged by about 2 to 4 weeks.
