How to treat a baby with a temperature over 39°C

Babies with body temperature over 39℃ may be caused by respiratory tract infection, etc., and need general treatment such as keeping warm and using medication such as cefaclor for treatment.
1. General treatment: babies with fever need to be kept warm to prevent their condition from worsening, and attention should be paid to a light but nutritious diet to ensure the baby’s nutritional supply. For babies with decreased appetite, they should eat as little and as often as possible.
2. Medication: If the baby’s body temperature exceeds 39℃, it is already high fever and needs medication to lower the temperature, commonly used antipyretic drugs include ibuprofen and acetaminophen, etc. In addition, if it is caused by viral infection, it can be given medication such as oseltamivir phosphate as prescribed by the doctor; if it is combined with bacterial infection at the same time, it can be treated with penicillin and other medications.
Please note that the above drugs must be used under the guidance of a doctor, and must not be self-medicated.
Parents are advised to send their babies to clinics or hospitals if their body temperature exceeds 39℃ to avoid delay.
