Menthol 30 insulin, also known as Mentholatum 30, usually takes effect in 20 to 30 minutes after taking Menthol 30. Menthol 30 is a premixed insulin analog that consists of 30% menthol short-acting insulin and 70% intermediate-acting insulin, and is used to treat type 1 diabetes mellitus as well as type 2 diabetes mellitus in which oral glucose-lowering medications alone are ineffective, and should not be used for hypoglycemic episodes and in people who are allergic to menthol insulin or to any of the other components of the drug.
