What hormones are secreted by the hypothalamus

The hormones secreted by the hypothalamus include two major groups called releasing hormones and inhibiting hormones. The main ones include the following, thyrotropin releasing hormone, adrenocorticotropin releasing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone releasing hormone, luteinizing hormone releasing hormone, growth hormone releasing hormone, growth hormone inhibiting hormone, lactogenic hormone releasing hormone, melanocyte stimulating hormone inhibiting hormone, melanocyte stimulating hormone releasing hormone and ten others. The hypothalamus is very small in area and receives the conduction of many nerve impulses. It can be the center of the endocrine system and the nervous system, mainly adjusting the function of the anterior lobe, including the synthesis of pituitary hormones and controlling the function of autonomic and vegetative nerves, and the neurosecretory secretion of hypothalamic hormones mainly flows into the anterior pituitary through the portal vein.
