What’s wrong with adenoid hypertrophy of the nose?

The adenoids are located in the posterior part of the nasal cavity, and when they swell, they block the posterior nostril and affect the ventilation, and these patients often have allergic reactions and have frequent attacks of rhinitis, especially allergic rhinitis. Rhinitis with swollen adenoids will block the posterior nostrils and accordingly will affect nasal ventilation causing nasal congestion. Clinicians generally recommend conservative treatment, nasal hormone spray and leukotriene receptor antagonist oral treatment for a period of time, if the effect is not good consider surgery.
