Can four wisdom teeth be extracted together?

Usually, it is not recommended to extract four wisdom teeth together, because it takes longer to remove four wisdom teeth at the same time than unilateral extraction, and thus there is a greater chance of complications such as infection. The wisdom teeth are located at the very back of the alveolar bone and are prone to problems due to difficulty in cleaning, as well as caries or periodontal disease of neighboring teeth due to abnormal contact relationship with them, and even squeeze the whole tooth row resulting in uneven teeth, so in most cases, patients are advised to remove them in time. However, the extraction of four wisdom teeth at one time may affect the normal eating, and may lead to secondary infection due to the long operation time and large wound area. Therefore, it is usually clinically recommended to remove only one side of the wisdom tooth at a time, and to eat with the other side for a few days after the extraction, and to pay attention to oral hygiene and to eat mainly liquid food in the early stage to avoid food residues falling into the extraction socket and inducing infection.
