How long can hepatitis B antibodies exist?

How long the Hepatitis B antibodies can be present varies from person to person and may be around 3 to 10 years. Hepatitis B antibodies are protective antibodies. If a healthy person has been vaccinated against Hepatitis B throughout the process and has generated Hepatitis B antibodies, the body will be protected, but as time passes, the titer of Hepatitis B antibodies will slowly decrease and eventually disappear. If the titer of Hepatitis B antibody is above 1000 mIU/ml, it usually lasts for 10 years. If it is more than 100 mIU/ml, the antibody level will remain positive for at least 5 to 7 years. Hepatitis B surface antibody in the range of 30-100 mIU/ml can last for 3-5 years. If the hepatitis B surface antibody is in the range of 10-30 mIU/ml, it is recommended that you get vaccinated against hepatitis B so that your body can produce more hepatitis B surface antibody. Ten years after vaccination, we should do hepatitis B penta test to see if the hepatitis B surface antibody is negative or the titer is decreasing, and we should follow the doctor’s advice to receive hepatitis B vaccine again.
