Adrenaline Side Effects

The correct name of epinephrine is epinephrine hydrochloride injection. Side effects of epinephrine hydrochloride injection include palpitations, headache and dizziness, high blood pressure, muscle tremor, fatigue, vomiting, and chills in the limbs; cardiac arrhythmia, which can be severe enough to cause ventricular fibrillation and lead to death; and localized edema, congestion, and inflammation of the skin. Epinephrine hydrochloride injection is mainly used for the treatment of severe respiratory distress caused by bronchospasm, relief of anaphylaxis caused by drugs and other reasons, prolonging the efficacy of infiltration anesthesia; it can also be used as the main rescue drug for cardiopulmonary resuscitation in cardiac arrest. The contraindications of epinephrine hydrochloride injection are hypertension, organic heart disease, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, digitalis intoxication, traumatic or hemorrhagic shock, cardiogenic asthma should be prohibited in patients. In addition, it should be used with caution in patients suffering from organic encephalopathy, cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, Parkinson’s disease, circulatory deficiency or hypotensive state caused by thiazides, neurological disorders; athletes should use it with caution; pregnant women, lactating mothers, children, and the elderly should use it with caution. This product is generally used in hospitals by healthcare professionals.
