Ways to stop snoring in children

Children’s snoring is often obstructive sleep apnea, clinical treatment includes: surgical treatment, cefaclor and other internal treatments.
1. Surgical treatment: the main cause of obstructive sleep apnea in children is enlarged tonsils and/or adenoids, and such children should be firstly diagnosed in ENT department for relevant examination and surgical treatment. Adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy is recommended as the treatment of choice for children with enlarged tonsils or adenoids and no contraindications to surgery.
2. Internal medicine treatment: antibiotics such as cefaclor can improve snoring by controlling the inflammation and reducing the edema of the lymphatic tissue in the upper airway; oral appliances can correct the children’s oral cavity and treat moderate snoring.
If children snore frequently, it is necessary to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease and carry out treatment under the doctor’s guidance, so as to avoid growth stagnation, neurocognitive deficiencies, behavioral problems, cardiovascular and endocrine diseases, and even sudden death due to prolonged snoring. All the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
