Blood-activating drugs are mostly Chinese medicinal preparations with the effect of promoting blood circulation. Traumatic wounds are divided into closed wounds and open wounds, both of which are not recommended to use blood-activating drugs within 24 hours.
1. Closed wounds: in this case, the patient is mainly manifested as local skin swelling, bleeding mainly accumulated in the subcutaneous or internal organs, the use of blood-activating drugs may aggravate the symptoms, it is recommended that the patient use blood-activating drugs after 24 hours, when the use of drugs is conducive to the dissipation of subcutaneous bruising.
2. Open wounds: open wounds generally require thorough debridement and suturing or bandaging, after this treatment, the patient’s wounds are no longer bleeding and bruising, there is no need to use blood-activating drugs. Hasty use of blood-activating drugs may cause the wound to continue to bleed, which is not conducive to the healing of the patient’s wound, and even aggravate the infection.
Therefore, there is no need to use blood-activating drugs within 24 hours after the wound.
