What causes high blood pressure at night

When high blood pressure occurs at night, some patients are relatively normal, and some are pathological. Night workers who have hypertension themselves and work at night, these patients often show a low blood pressure during the day relative to the night, because they may rest or even sleep during the day and work at night, showing an increase in blood pressure at night. Also seen in patients with insomnia at night, some may not be hypertensive, but long-term insomnia at night and unable to sleep, these patients often appear to have high blood pressure at night and higher than normal, and after regulating insomnia and treating the cause, the blood pressure will return to normal. Another condition is sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome patients, manifested as snoring at night, may snore until the end are not ventilated, the family is very afraid, after a period of time and hear the snoring sound. Such patients may have a combination of nocturnal sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome and often have increased blood pressure at night. The effect is not satisfactory if antihypertensive drugs alone are applied. These patients may need to rest in the lateral position or wear a non-invasive ventilator during nighttime sleep, and may not require excessive antihypertensive medication, and their blood pressure will drop after the primary cause is treated.
