What are the symptoms of esophagitis and what drugs to take

Esophagitis is a chronic inflammation of the esophagus, which is seen endoscopically as congestion, edema, and even erosion and superficial ulcer formation in the esophageal mucosa. Esophagitis can manifest as heartburn, acid reflux, retrosternal pain, pharyngeal discomfort, and chest tightness, nausea, and vomiting. In severe cases, vomiting of blood and black stool can occur. Regarding the treatment of esophagitis: 1. acid-suppressing drugs: such as omeprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole, which inhibit gastric acid secretion and reduce the damage of gastric acid to the esophageal mucosa. 2. esophageal mucosal protective agents: such as aluminum thioglycollate suspension gel. 3. pro-gastrointestinal motility drugs: such as morpholine, mosapride, itopride, which promote gastrointestinal peristalsis, facilitate gastric emptying and reduce the damage of gastric acid to the esophageal mucosa. In the diet, easy to digest, liquid diet, avoid taking hard, spicy, irritating food.
