Why brain hemorrhage patients are agitated

The main reason for agitation in patients with cerebral hemorrhage is due to increased intracranial pressure and also due to irritation caused by intracranial hemorrhage. Cerebral hemorrhage is a non-traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage in the brain parenchyma and is a relatively dangerous hemorrhagic cerebrovascular accident, which kills 1/3 of patients. The vast majority of patients with cerebral hemorrhage will experience a severe increase in intracranial pressure, which is usually higher than 300 mm water column. At this point, the patient will experience severe headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, and therefore agitation. Some patients also suffer from relatively heavy bleeding, which even causes subarachnoid hemorrhage. The subarachnoid hemorrhage, in turn, can cause corresponding cerebral vasospasm or cause signs of meningeal irritation, which can also cause agitation in patients.
