The difference between acute pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer is the difference between benign and malignant. Acute pancreatitis is a benign lesion, while pancreatic cancer is a malignant lesion. Acute pancreatitis is an inflammatory reaction in which the pancreatic tissue undergoes self-digestion, edema, bleeding and even necrosis, which is a chemical inflammation, while pancreatic cancer is mainly a malignant tumor of the pancreatic exocrine gland. In clinical symptoms, pancreatitis is mainly manifested by sudden acute upper abdominal pain, which can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, fever, etc. The main manifestations of pancreatic cancer are abdominal pain, loss of appetite, emaciation and jaundice. If the prognosis is mild, the prognosis of acute pancreatitis is good, and as long as it is actively treated by internal medicine, the prognosis is usually not any sequelae. However, pancreatic cancer is particularly malignant and develops rapidly, so the prognosis is very poor.
