Patients with cervical vertebral deformity often have some external features, such as short neck, slanting neck, relatively low hairline, restricted rotational movement of the head and neck, asymmetric facial development, as well as localized symptoms such as aches, pains, numbness, and sensory sensitivities that often tend to occur in the neck. When the cervical spine is compressed, it can manifest as numbness of the limbs, unsteady walking, weakness, and hyperreflexia of both lower limbs. If the vertebral artery is also stimulated, it can manifest as dizziness, headache, fainting, memory loss, etc. Prompt medical consultation is recommended.
