What does aortic dissection mean?

Aortic dissection refers to the process of formation of aortic coarctation, which is a common and critical clinical condition in cardiovascular department with a particularly high mortality rate and life-threatening at any time. The aorta emanates from the heart and is connected to the heart, and is the largest arterial vessel in the body. The aorta has three layers, which are composed of the intima, middle layer and outer layer. The middle layer is mainly the trophoblastic layer, which is rich in blood vessels and holds the intima and the outer layer firmly together like glue. If the intima of the aorta becomes ulcerated or fissured by various causes, such as alcohol or nicotine, the pressure in the aorta is particularly high and blood flow can enter the middle layer through the ulcerated opening or fissure, leading to the rupture of the middle trophoblastic artery to form a hematoma, which in turn leads to the peeling of the intima from the middle layer, a process called aortic dissection. There are two main causes, one, long-term uncontrolled hypertension. Second, congenital factors leading to aortic middle trophoblastic dysplasia.
