Is it cancerous to have stomach pain after eating?

Stomach pain after eating is not necessarily cancer. There are many diseases that cause stomach pain after eating, such as indigestion, chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, cholecystitis, etc. Early stage of gastric cancer is mostly asymptomatic or only has some non-specific digestive tract symptoms. The earliest symptom of progressive gastric cancer is epigastric pain, which is often accompanied by poor appetite, anorexia and weight loss. Patients often feel hungry but feel full and uncomfortable as soon as they eat. The abdominal pain manifested by gastric ulcer mostly occurs about 1 hour after a meal and gradually relieves after 1-2 hours. The rhythm is repeated after the next meal. It is often seasonal and regular, with periodic episodes. It may be relieved by taking antacid medication. When patients have gallbladder stones, they may have gastrointestinal symptoms such as indigestion. Most patients only have vague pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen or right upper abdomen after eating, especially after eating fatty food, with belching and erratic, which is often misdiagnosed as “stomach disease”. If the symptoms occur frequently, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital promptly to clarify the cause and treat the symptoms.
