Can acupuncture cure hiccups after chemotherapy?

According to Chinese medicine, hiccups after chemotherapy are often related to a deficiency in the body and the upward movement of stomach qi (stomach qi rises instead of falling). This condition can be treated with acupuncture, choosing points that have the ability to nourish the deficiency, lower the stomach qi, and stop vomiting, such as Zanzhu, Neiguan, and so on.
1. Zanzhu: This point belongs to the foot solar bladder meridian and is located on the face, in the depression of the eyebrow, at the frontal notch. It is used in the treatment of hiccups, headaches, headaches in the brow bone, drooping eyelids, and unclear vision.
2. Neiguan: This acupoint belongs to the pericardium meridian of the syncopal yin of the hand and is located in the anterior region of the wrist, in the transverse stripe of the distal part of the palmar side of the wrist, between the tendon of the palmaris longus tendon and the tendon of the radial flexor carpi radialis tendon, which has the function of treating such conditions as gastric pain, vomiting, hiccups, heart pain, palpitations and epilepsy.
Patients with hiccups after chemotherapy are advised to go to regular hospitals for consultation and treatment under the guidance of professional physicians who can identify the symptoms.
