Screening methods for frozen shoulder

Frozen shoulder, also known as “frozen shoulder” or “50 shoulder”, is a chronic inflammation of the shoulder joint capsule and its surrounding ligaments, tendons and bursa. It mainly manifests itself in the gradual development of pain in the shoulder and limited movement of the shoulder joint. The common methods used in hospitals to diagnose frozen shoulder include X-ray, ultrasound, CT, etc. In addition to the above professional examinations, the following methods can also be used to initially determine whether it is frozen shoulder: Method 1 Palpation of the shoulder muscles, if the muscles are felt to be very stiff, or even if there is a feeling of adhesion in the muscles, then it is considered to be frozen shoulder. Method 2 Checking the mobility of the shoulder joint Shoulder abduction examination method: observe the range of the healthy limb doing abduction movements first, and then observe the range of the affected limb doing abduction movements. Due to shoulder pain, the abduction of the affected limb is characterized by the patient using the shoulder to carry the arm to complete the movement, and it is not possible to lift the arm straight; Shoulder joint lifting inspection method: when the patient does arm lifting, the healthy limb can be lifted up to the ear. When the affected limb is lifted, the patient will unconsciously use his head to lean toward the arm, and the arm can not be lifted completely; Shoulder Joint Posterior Extension Examination Method: The patient uses the healthy side of the arm back to the back to reach upward with force, and it can reach the height close to the neck. On the other hand, the affected side can not reach the same height as the healthy side when the arm is stretched upward behind the back. If there is an external force to continue to lift the affected arm upward, the patient will be very painful. Special tips: 1, the amplitude of the above examination should be carried out within the tolerable range of the patient; 2, the patient should avoid overwork, lifting heavy objects, and pay attention to the local warmth; 3, it is not advisable to do active activities of the shoulder joint in the acute stage, and exercise should be strengthened in the remission period.
