When is the best time to take lactoferrin

Lactoferrin is consumed by infants and children for iron supplementation or treatment of diseases, and is usually most effective when consumed after meals. Lactoferrin is a protein isolated and extracted from fresh cow’s milk, which can help the body absorb iron and effectively prevent iron deficiency anemia. There are two reasons why it is recommended to supplement lactoferrin after meals: on the one hand, the gastrointestinal tract of infants and young children is not yet fully developed and is still very delicate, so consuming lactoferrin after meals can avoid its impact on the function of the gastrointestinal tract as much as possible; on the other hand, lactoferrin, when consumed by infants and young children, can effectively help their gastrointestinal tract to carry out digestive exercises, thus breaking down and absorbing various foods, improving the absorption rate of nutrients in infants and young children, and effectively promoting the development of the body’s Immune system development. For infants and children who consume lactoferrin, it is recommended that they also consume foods rich in vitamin C and pay attention to a balanced diet to promote their physical development.
