Bone metastasis is a malignant tumor originating elsewhere that has metastasized to the bones through various routes, usually resulting in lumps, pain, or bone damage in the skeletal area that requires prompt treatment. The presence of a primary malignant tumor in another part of the body and the worsening of the disease may lead to bloodstream metastasis of the cancer cells, which may cause metastatic episodes in the skeletal area. Shallow lumps may be palpable at the site of bone metastasis or accompanied by pain deep in the bones. In serious cases, it may even lead to obvious limb movement disorder or joint movement limitation, and may also cause bone fracture. After the occurrence of bone metastasis, first of all, we need to carry out surgical resection or radiotherapy for the primary tumor, and at the same time, carry out molecular targeted therapy or nutritional supportive therapy to improve the function of the body’s immune system. At the same time, direct excision of the tumor can be considered for the site of bone metastasis to curb the growth of the tumor. The appearance of bone metastasis means that the primary tumor has entered the middle or late stage and needs to be treated as soon as possible.
