The treatment of Damp-Heat is related to the degree of the patient’s condition, individual constitution and other factors, and there are individual differences in the healing time, which is usually 2-4 weeks. Dampness-heat can be categorized as spleen-stomach dampness-heat, liver-gallbladder dampness-heat, bladder dampness-heat, colon dampness-heat, and so on. Damp-heat in the spleen and stomach is characterized by distention and stuffiness in the abdomen (feeling bloated and uncomfortable in the abdomen), dullness (lack of appetite, decreased food intake), nausea and vomiting, bitter mouth and sticky mucus, thirst and lack of drinking, loose stools (stools that are not shaped, with a feeling of not being emptied after passing them), short and yellowish urination, and heavy and sleepy limbs (limbs that are weak and sunken). Treatment may include Huanglian Warm Gallbladder Tang. Damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder manifests as cold and heat (the body is hot and cold at the same time), distension and pain in the abdomen and ribs, dullness and abdominal distension, nausea (nausea and want to vomit), bitter taste in the mouth and an aversion to oil, yellow coloration of the eyes and the body, irregularity in the bowels (abnormal bowel movements), and short and yellowish urination. Treatment may include gentian diarrhea liver soup. Damp-heat in the bladder manifests as frequent urination, urinary urgency, burning pain in the urethra, short yellow or turbid urine, blood in the urine, gravel in the urine, distension and pain in the abdomen, or pain in the waist and abdomen. Treatment can be used eight Zhengsan. Damp-heat in the large intestine manifesting as abdominal pain, diarrhea, burning in the anus, or diarrhea (sudden and urgent diarrhea) with yellowish color and smell; or dysentery with reddish-white pus and blood, urgency and heaviness (discomfort in the lower abdomen, wanting to defecate very much, and feeling of incomplete defecation after defecation), thirst, and short and reddish urination (small amount of urination with dark yellow color).
