9 kinds of cancer-causing toxic snacks, don’t give children often eat again

A survey report on children’s food additive intake in nine Chinese cities released by the non-profit organization “iearth – Love Earth” shows that nine types of snacks commonly eaten by children contain the most additives. According to the report, 1/10 children consume snacks with additives more than 3 times a day, and 6% of children drink more than 3 bottles of drinks a day (excluding mineral water and homemade tea). In summer, the number of children who eat ice cream every day is even as high as 26%. The survey also sampled the ingredient lists and food additives contained in 489 food items in 33 categories. Among them, instant noodles, milk drinks, potato chips, ice cream, cookies and other foods contain the most additives, long and frequent consumption of these foods is likely to lead to cancer in the end! A pack of instant noodles can have up to 25 kinds of food additives, common ones are monosodium glutamate, caramel color, citric acid, tert-butylhydroquinone, etc.. Long-term consumption of products containing citric acid by children may lead to hypocalcemia. The additives contained include sodium nitrite, potassium sorbate, etc. Among them, sodium nitrite may generate carcinogens in the body nitrosamines. The additives contained are citric acid, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, etc. Among them, sodium benzoate will destroy vitamin B1, and affect the absorption of calcium in children. Potassium sorbate, citric acid and carrageenan additives are most commonly used. Excessive intake of potassium sorbate can lead to allergic reactions and affect the absorption of calcium in children. Artificial flavors, thickeners, synthetic colors and other additives are most commonly used. And some of these artificial colors, foreign regulations can not be used in food. The additives contained include sodium metabisulfite, citric acid, sorbitol. Large amounts of sodium metabisulfite can damage cells and is biotoxic. Contained additives include potassium sorbate, sodium hexametaphosphate and so on. Excess of the latter can cause disorders of calcium metabolism. May contain additives such as aspartame, sorbitol and citric acid. Excessive sorbitol can cause diarrhea. May contain additives such as monosodium glutamate and – disodium guanylate. Both of the above are banned for use in foods for infants and children.
