The main purpose of the fallopian tubes is to transport the sperm and egg and to allow the sperm and egg to unite for the purpose of pregnancy. In most cases of ectopic pregnancy and tubal pregnancy, if there is no large rupture, the pregnancy sac can be removed and the local fallopian tube can be preserved. Of course, in case of serious rupture of the fallopian tube and heavy bleeding, the tube can only be removed if there is no way to preserve it. If the fallopian tubes are preserved after ectopic pregnancy surgery, a tubal imaging test should be done before planning a pregnancy.
