There is no scientific basis for the notion that Plum nucleus qi is most feared at one acupuncture point, as common points that can be used to treat the disease include Baihui, Yintang, and Taichong. Acupuncture and moxibustion in Chinese medicine generally categorizes Plum nucleus qi under the category of depression, and believes that the occurrence of this disease is mainly related to qi stagnation (the obstruction of qi movement), so the treatment needs to be based on regulating the spirit, dredging the liver, and regulating qi to resolve the depression. Commonly used acupoints for the treatment of this disease include Baihui, Yintang, Taichong, Ximen, and Liver Yu. Among them, Baihui and Yintang are located in the head, which can regulate the spirit; Taichong is the original point of the liver meridian, located in the foot, which can regulate the liver qi (regulating the stagnation of liver qi) and relieve depression; and Ximen is the collection point of the liver meridian, located in the chest, which, together with Liver Yu, can also regulate the liver qi. Consult your doctor for specific point selection and moxibustion, while needling should be performed by a doctor.
