Spring is the most beautiful season of the year, giving people too many good feelings, hope, vitality, romance ……, especially in the north after a cold winter hibernation, spring has come, what we want to do is to go out for a walk. When you revel in nature’s blossoms and bright sunshine, please beware of spring dermatitis. As a dermatologist, our clinic has the highest concentration of spring facial dermatitis patients from about mid to late March to the end of April, and sometimes we see more than a dozen “big red faces” a day. This is especially true around the time when willow and poplar flakes are flying. Most of these patients present with an erythematous rash on the face with corn-sized papules, dryness, flaking, itching and tightness, and in severe cases, a slight burning sensation, especially when washing the face and wearing skin care products. Preferred sites are the eyelids, cheeks, or the entire face, neck, or V-shaped area of the chest can occur. The causes and triggers of spring facial dermatitis may be multifaceted including: personal constitution, UV allergy, pollen allergy, physical irritation, improper use of cosmetics, etc. In terms of people’s sensitivity to ultraviolet light, the sensitivity is highest in spring and lowest in winter, and higher in indoor than outdoor workers. Therefore, the sudden increase in UV content at the onset of spring, it is difficult for people to adapt, especially women who work indoors once exposed to strong UV radiation, can cause dermatitis. 2, pollen Spring peach, pear, spring flowers …… open, people are enjoying the beauty of the same time some people allergic to pollen to “suffer”, spring pollen, and the northern although warm but not too strong spring breeze increased the pollen. The spring pollen, and the warm but strong spring winds in the north have increased the spread of pollen, making this season a sudden increase in allergy sufferers. 3. The dry air in spring, the low hydration of the skin’s stratum corneum, and the sandy wind make the skin more sensitive and more susceptible to damage. People with a history of spring dermatitis should strengthen self-protection measures: 1. Increase outdoor activities, first receive a small dose of ultraviolet radiation, and gradually increase the amount of light to gradually improve the body’s ability to tolerate light exposure, beware of sudden and prolonged strong sun exposure. If you travel outside, it is best to wear a broad-brimmed protective hat, or use a sunshade, and should wear light-colored long-sleeved clothing. 2, do not use cosmetics containing more water photosensitive substances, such as impure petroleum jelly, poor quality aromatic skin care products. 3, as little as possible to eat or do not eat the spring dermatitis photosensitive food, such as mud snail, amaranth, capers, lettuce, horsetail, rape, spinach, caper, Malan head, figs, turnip coma and other food containing photosensitive substances, can improve the sensitivity of the skin to ultraviolet light, so should eat less. 4, can moderate rub sunscreen and other protective agents to protect the skin. Beware of dermatitis when traveling on the green! 5, the more sensitive skin women in the spring it is best not to switch to new cosmetics and skin care products, do not dye, perm hair. 6.Wash your face with water after going home. Pay attention to wash your face with cool water, not alkaline soap. Pay attention to moisturizing, people with sensitive skin can use hospital preparations such as: silicon cream, vitamin E milk skin care. 7, some people who have their own basic skin disease or skin sensitivity such as: seborrheic dermatitis patients, atopic dermatitis patients, easy to relapse or aggravate in the spring, so pay more attention to protection. You can’t just use hormonal drugs such as dermaplanin and fludrocortisone by yourself, and you can’t use any prescriptions. It is best to go to the hospital dermatology department for rash in time. If there is really no time temporary treatment available: 1, 3% boric acid water cold compress method to reduce symptoms. 2, external protective agents such as silicone cream, vitamin E cream, etc. 3, internal vitamin B complex, vitamin C tablets. 4.Oral antihistamine anti-allergic drugs: such as cetirizine hydrochloride (Xanthemin), loratadine (keratan), etc., but pay attention to avoid the use of chlorpheniramine, isopromazine and other photosensitizing drugs. 5. If it is more serious, a small amount of corticosteroids, such as hydrocortisone butyrate (Euthyroxil), can be applied under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist. In short, the bright spring we certainly want to enjoy, but to be more scientific, beware of spring dermatitis whisked everyone’s good mood.
