Would an enhanced CT be useful?

Enhanced computed tomography (CT) is very useful if required by the disease. Compared with normal computed tomography, enhanced computed tomography can find smaller lesions, determine the nature of lesions more accurately, clarify the staging of tumors, and better determine vascular diseases. 1. Discovering more tiny lesions: ordinary computed tomography is easy to miss some tiny lesions due to the influence of accuracy, while enhanced computed tomography can show more tiny lesions than ordinary computed tomography. 2. accurately determine the nature of foci: ordinary computed tomography may only find the existence of foci in a certain area, while enhanced computed tomography can more accurately determine the type of foci and the relationship between the foci and the surrounding tissues. 3. clear tumor staging: enhanced computed tomography can show the inside of the lesion and its relationship with the surrounding tissues more clearly, so it is of great help to the staging of the tumor. 4. better judgment of vascular disease: enhanced computed tomography is very effective in visualizing blood vessels and relatively small lymph nodes. Whether to do enhancement or not must be chosen according to the doctor’s advice, not blindly chosen by oneself.
