What does a positive brachial plexus pull test mean?

A positive brachial plexus pull test means that the cervical nerve root is irritated and painful after a passive pull. Normally, there is no radicular pain in the neck after a pull on the brachial plexus, but if there is pain, it means that the patient may have radicular cervical spondylosis. In order to diagnose the presence of radicular cervical spondylosis, a combination of clinical manifestations and MRI is required. Clinically, the patient may present with nerve trunk pain or plexus pain that is consistent with the involved nerve, and there may be a combination of sensory deficits such as hyperalgesia and sensory hypersensitivity. Patients diagnosed with neurogenic cervical spondylosis are treated mainly with non-surgical treatment.
