What’s that thumping in my right ear?

Thumping inside the right ear may be related to the normal opening and closing of the Eustachian tube during swallowing, myoclonus of the middle ear and temporomandibular joint syndrome.
1. Normal opening and closing of the Eustachian tube during swallowing: the Eustachian tube is a tube connecting the nasopharynx and the middle ear cavity. When swallowing, the Eustachian tube opens and closes, and the surface tension of its mucous membrane is broken, resulting in a thumping sound.
2. Middle ear myoclonus: when blinking spontaneously or autonomously, as well as acoustic stimulation and auricular skin stimulation to the stapedius muscle contraction and thumping sound inside the right ear.
3. Temporomandibular joint syndrome: when the right temporomandibular joint is abnormal, the thumping sound coming from the right ear can be seen when the mouth is opened or closed.
