Bile is produced by secretion from liver cells, stored in the gallbladder and secreted into the intestines after eating. Bile is an important fluid that has a digestive role in the body and is synthesized and secreted by liver cells. After being secreted by the liver, bile passes through the capillary bile ducts to pool in the intrahepatic bile ducts and eventually reaches the gallbladder for storage. Bile from the gallbladder is normally secreted through the common bile duct to the intestines after a feeding stimulus. The main components of bile include bile salts, bile pigments, cholesterol and a variety of inorganic salts. However, bile has no digestive enzymes and relies mainly on bile salts to emulsify fats, as well as to bind with some fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins A, D, E, and K) and promote their absorption. Eating can stimulate the secretion of bile, if the diet is not regular can cause bile concentration, long-term can cause cholecystitis, gallbladder stones, so should pay attention to regular diet, avoid bad eating habits.
