Twitching of the hands and feet may be a seizure or may be low blood calcium. When seizures are caused, antiepileptic drugs are usually given for treatment if more than two seizures occur. If a single seizure occurs, no special treatment is usually required, and most patients are self-limiting. The commonly used antiepileptic drugs include sodium valproate, carbamazepine, phenytoin sodium, phenobarbital, levetiracetam, oxcarbazepine, gabapentin and lamotrigine. Sodium valproate is a broad-spectrum antiepileptic drug for patients with various types of seizures. In the case of secondary epilepsy, most patients have a clear etiology, such as brain tumors, cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral infarction, and patients with severe encephalitis can have seizures, which are mainly treated with the appropriate etiology. It may also be caused by low blood calcium, the patient appears to have hand and foot twitching, usually hand and foot twitching, and may also have leg cramps mainly treated with calcium supplementation, commonly used drugs such as calcium gluconate, calcium erci and calcium in calcium.
