The efficacy and function of Qie point Location

Qie points are commonly used clinically to provide first aid and treat acute illnesses such as hematemesis and pain, and are mostly located below the elbow and knee joints of the limbs, totaling 16 Qie points.
Qie points are mostly located in the interstices of the tendons and bones of the limbs below the elbows and knees, and their positions are in a zigzag pattern with the meridians. Qie points are the places where the qi and blood of the meridians are deeply concentrated, and where the meridians and collaterals connect in the deeper parts of the body.
Qie acupoints can be used to treat acute illnesses and pains in the circulating parts of the meridians and the internal organs to which they belong, such as Qiemen for heart and chest pains and Liangqiu for stomach and epigastric pains.
In addition, when the internal organs are sick, pressure pain, spontaneous pain or other abnormal sensations can be produced at the corresponding Qie acupoints, which can be used to help diagnose the disease, and therefore, it is recently listed as an important point for the treatment of acute pain and the examination of pressure pain.
Generally speaking, qie points are divided into yin qie and yang qie, with yin qie specializing in treating blood disorders and yang qie specializing in treating pain disorders.
When certain uncomfortable symptoms occur, it is recommended not to treat them on your own, but to go to the hospital for treatment.
