A pelvic band can usually be used after 10 days postpartum. The pelvic band is different from the general abdominal band in that it is used in a lower position and serves to exert moderate inward pressure on the pelvis to promote its recovery as soon as possible. The pelvis has good plasticity within 42 days after delivery, i.e. during the puerperium, and applying a certain amount of pressure on the pelvis in a timely manner will have a good effect on the recovery of the pelvis. However, using the pelvic band too early is not conducive to the descent of the uterus. Therefore, the use of the pelvic band can be started after the uterus has descended to the pelvic cavity in about 10 days after delivery to promote the repair of the pelvis. If a woman has a separated pubic symphysis, or if her pelvic muscles are severely lax after delivery, she can use a pelvic band during the puerperium if her body allows it. Usually you can choose to use it after the uterus has fallen back into the pelvis.
