Patients with lumps and no pain when touching the top of the neck, the common clinical causes are mainly the following: a. Lipoma of the neck, patients with diffuse thickening of subcutaneous adipose tissue in the neck can form lipoma locally, manifested as multiple lumps at the neck. As the lipoma has no obvious pain symptoms, so the smaller size of the lesion, patients are advised to observe closely and do not need to perform surgical resection. As for the larger size of lipoma causing local distension, discomfort or affecting the patient’s aesthetic appearance, surgery can be considered to remove the lipoma. When the volume of thyroid adenoma increases significantly, it may expand outward, and a pimple-like manifestation can be felt in the neck. The adenoma often does not have obvious pain symptoms, and the patient can be examined by thyroid ultrasound to clarify the size and nature of the thyroid lesion. For larger thyroid adenomas, in order to avoid localized compression of nerves, trachea and blood vessels, patients are recommended to undergo surgical treatment.
