Premature beats are a subtype of heart disease and do not belong to coronary heart disease because premature beats include atrial and ventricular premature beats, which are problems in the heart’s conduction system. However, patients with coronary artery disease are also prone to premature beats because coronary artery disease can lead to myocardial ischemia, and ischemia can cause premature beats. Premature beats can occur in normal people, and with age, the chance of occurrence will be higher. The other causes of premature beats include myocarditis, ischemia, hypoxia, which is also caused by coronary artery disease, surgery, anesthesia, medication, ionic disorders, smoking, drinking, mood swings and so on, all of which can lead to premature beats.
