What causes distortion of sound in the ear

There are many reasons for distorted hearing in the ear, and common causes include sudden deafness, cerumen impaction, otitis media, and so on.
1. Sudden deafness: It is a sudden and unexplained hearing loss without any triggers that leads to hearing limitation.
2. Cerumen impaction: After the cerumen is blocked, the sound transmission structure of the ear canal is restricted, and the patient will experience significant hearing loss.
3. Otitis media: In otitis media, there will be a large amount of pus or fluid in the tympanic cavity, which affects the patient’s hearing.
There may be other reasons for distorted hearing, so it is recommended to consult a specialist in a timely manner, complete relevant examinations, and give targeted treatment and therapy after clarifying the cause.
