Common Diseases in Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery treats a wide range of diseases, which can be broadly divided into four categories: diseases caused by trauma, cerebrovascular diseases, functional diseases and diseases caused by tumors. 1. Neurosurgical diseases caused by trauma: such as cerebral contusion, subdural hematoma, epidural hematoma, and some other conditions, relatively light, such as traumatic brain reaction, concussion, and so on. 2. Cerebrovascular diseases: including cerebral ischemia, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral aneurysm, cerebral artery injury, cerebral arteriovenous fistula, intracranial vascular malformations and so on. 3. Functional diseases: mainly epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, Parkinson’s syndrome and other diseases. 4. Diseases of tumor nature: such as craniopharyngioma, meningioma, glioma, acoustic neuroma and other related diseases.
