The formula of Gentian Diarrhea Liver Tang is Gentian, Gardenia, Scutellaria, Mutong, Ze Xie, Psyllium, Bupleurum, Angelica, Radix et Rhizoma Shengdi, and Glycyrrhiza Uralensis.
In the formula, gentian herb clears liver and fire (clear liver fire) and benefit dampness and heat, gardenia diarrhea triple jiao fire, scutellaria baicalensis clears heat and dry dampness (clear heat and dry dampness) and diarrhea liver fire, moutong diarrhea and heat, zedoaria diarrhea diarrhea and drenching, psyllium diarrhea and urination, bupleurum soothes the liver and clears heat, angelica nourishes the blood and activates the blood, raw earth nourishes the yin and cools the blood, and glycyrrhiza and the stomach and the medicines (and the medicinal properties of the different Chinese medicines).
The combination of all the herbs works together to clear the liver and diarrhea fire, and benefit the liver, gallbladder and dampness-heat (dampness-heat evils accumulated in the liver and gallbladder). Longdian Diarrhea Liver Tang is mainly used for symptoms such as redness and swelling of the eyes, irritability, dizziness, tinnitus, dampness of the lower body, itching of the pubic area, yellow urine, red tongue with yellowish fur, and stringy pulse caused by dampness-heat of the liver and gallbladder.
It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to the ingredients of the drug. Pregnant women should use with caution. Avoid eating cold, greasy, spicy and other stimulating food during the period of taking the medicine.
