What are the signs and symptoms of costochondritis

Costal chondritis includes non-specific costal chondritis and infectious costal chondritis, which mostly manifests as localized swelling, pressure pain, chest pain and so on. 1. Nonspecific costochondritis: localized swelling, pressure and pain, pain aggravated by upper limb activity or position change, and chest tightness and shortness of breath may also occur in some patients. Some patients may also have chest tightness and shortness of breath. There is no redness and fever in the painful area. 2. Infectious costochondritis: the pain in the anterior chest wall is more fixed and cannot be relieved on its own, the local skin will be red and swollen, and there may be sinus tract formation. Localized pain is obvious when pressed, and sometimes a sense of fluctuation can be touched. Infectious costochondritis may also have systemic symptoms, such as elevated body temperature.
