What’s wrong with a three-month-old baby vomiting?

Vomiting in three-month-old infants may be caused by physiological factors, or it may be caused by acute gastroenteritis, intussusception and other pathologic factors.
1. Physiological factors:
The gastrointestinal tract of three-month-old infants is still immature, and improper feeding, such as feeding too fast, feeding too much at a time, or feeding when the baby cries, may lead to gastroesophageal reflux or indigestion caused by the baby vomiting.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Acute gastroenteritis: unhygienic diet and other causes may lead to acute gastroenteritis in infants, which may cause reflex vomiting due to the disturbance of gastrointestinal function.
(2) Intussusception: Intussusception occurs in infants under 2 years of age. When intussusception occurs, obstruction of part of the intestinal segments will cause obstructive vomiting.
In conclusion, there may be other reasons for vomiting in three-month-old babies. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy under the guidance of the doctor.
